Etymologie:

roezlii = Benedict Roezl, 1823 - 1884, war ein k. k. österreichisch-böhmischer Botaniker und Orchideensammler. Er fertigte über 100.000 Herbarbelege an und führte fast 800 neue Orchideenarten in die Kultur ein.

Anmerkungen:

Dracula roezlii bringt sehr auffällige, bis 10cm große Blüten, meist an mehrere, hängenden Blütenständen hervor. Die dunkle Blüte mit der sehr hellen, fast weißen Lippe bildet einen sehr auffälligen, attraktien Kontrast.
Der selektierte Klon Dracula roezlii 'San Francisco' besticht durch große, sehr intensiv gefärbte Blüten mit klarer Musterung.
