Der Elgin Sauvignon Blanc vom Weingut Boschendal ist einzigartig in seinem Ausdruck und Charakter, der typisch für seine Herkunft aus einem Weinberg mit kühlem Klima ist. Zudem besteht der Elgin zu 100% aus Sauvignon Blanc Trauben. 

Die Nase wird von ausdrucksstarken Aromen wie weißem Spargel, fleischigen Pfirsich und Physalis entzückt. Kalkige Eigenschaften führen zu einem komplexen Gaumen, der von einer Mineralität und einer fesselnden Frische, begleitet von einem lang anhaltenden Abgang geprägt ist.

 



Rebsorte Sauvignon Blanc

Die Rebsorte Sauvignon Blanc ist eine natürliche Kreuzung aus den Rebsorten Traminer und Chenin Blanc. Daher stammt wohl auch ihr Name. Sprachwissenschaftler führen Sauvignon auf das französische „sauvage“, auf deutsch „wild“, zurück. Die genaue Herkunft der Rebsorte Sauvignon Blanc ist nicht belegt. Das erste Mal urkundlich erwähnt wurde Sauvignon Blanc Anfang des 18. Jahrhunderts im Südwesten Frankreichs.

Die mineralische Säure, sowie ihre Wetter-Bezogenheit machen Sauvignon Blanc perfekt für den Anbau in Südafrika. Dort zählt Sauvignon Blanc zu den meistangebauten Weißwein Rebsorten.

Je nach Reifegrad des Weines ergeben sich unterschiedliche Aromaausprägungen. Klassisch produziert steht Sauvignon Blanc für Zitrusnoten und Stachelbeeren. Aber auch vegetative Noten wie frisch gemähtes Gras finden sich oftmals in Sauvignon Blanc Weinen wieder. Im Falle einer frühen Ernte, entwickeln Sauvignon Blanc Trauben oftmals Aromen von tropischen Früchten und Pfirsich.

In der Regel wird Sauvignon Blanc trocken ausgebaut und auch nur selten gelangt die Rebsorte zum Ausbau ins Holzfass. Der Hauptgrund hierfür ist die Historie. Sauvignon Blanc steht seit der Entstehung für Frische und einen eher schlanken Körper.


Passt zu

Der Elgin Sauvignon Blanc vom Weingut Boschendal passt sehr gut zu frischem Fisch und hellem Fleisch.

Außerdem harmoniert dieser Sauvignon Blanc sehr gut mit knackigen Salaten und Fetakäse.

Ein großer Trinkgenuss ist jedoch auch ohne passendes Essen garantiert.

I bought this AmazingSpark soundproof room divider panel because I work from home and needed a way to separate my workspace from the rest of the room — and honestly, it’s been such a great solution. The AmazingSpark Soundproof room divider panel has been a fantastic addition to my classroom. Its sound-absorbing design noticeably reduces noise, which makes small group instruction, testing sessions, and independent work time much more manageable. The panel is lightweight yet sturdy. The included stand and straps keep it securely in place. I appreciate how easily it folds - setup and storage take only a minute, which is perfect for transitioning from one activity to another. The grey color looks clean and professional, and I can use push-pins to hang displays on the board. The divider delivers exactly what teachers need: privacy, noise reduction, flexibility, and durability. The noise reduction feature has been beneficial in my classroom when students are recording projects.
