Squirrel Oak Wreath Penny

On one side, a squirrel holds an acorn within a forest scene, a symbol of playful diligence and the wisdom of preparation. Each acorn represents the small, beautiful acts we gather and plant each day, moments of care, creativity, and appreciation that grow into something lasting.

The two sides speak to one another. The squirrel, alive with daily joy, reminds us of the witnessed magic in tending to small things. I often think of it as I watch the Hastings Étui unfold. Each humble penny is part of a living story. These are not objects to be finished or set aside, but milestones of ongoing devotion. Through them, the ordinary act of collecting becomes lineage, and the present moment becomes part of something that will endure. Much like the longevity of oaks, even after the oldest tree becomes nourishment for the forest, new ones rise from acorns buried through those same playful acts of squirrel devotion and resourcefulness.
