COURSE OVERVIEW:

Welcome to the Develop a Green Business Strategy course. This program will equip you with the knowledge, strategic frameworks, and practical tools required to design, implement, and sustain an environmentally responsible business strategy. You will explore the meaning of “going green,” why organisations should embrace sustainability, and how environmental responsibility creates competitive advantage. This course also examines how going green reduces costs, improves productivity, increases brand awareness, and protects the ecosystem—making sustainability central to long-term organisational resilience and success.

This course begins by examining what climate change is, the global impacts of climate change, and how rising climate-related costs have profound implications for the business world. You will explore how to plan and develop a green business strategy, how to devise your strategy, and how to choose the right tactics to reduce environmental impact while strengthening performance. This section also covers how to get everyone on board by communicating vision, fostering commitment, and creating shared ownership of environmental goals. You will explore how to make and present the business case for going green, demonstrating financial, operational, reputational, and compliance benefits.

The next learning area focuses on environmental assessment and baseline measurement. You will explore how to assess your organisation before undertaking a “green audit,” how to calculate your carbon footprint, and how to reduce energy use and minimise waste. This section examines why reusing materials and encouraging recycling is essential for resource efficiency and how to reduce CO emissions by tackling transport issues. You will also explore how to save energy and reduce waste across your supply chain, how to choose sustainable finance options, and how to communicate your greening plans to all stakeholders transparently and credibly.

A further section focuses on consumer engagement and environmental integrity. You will examine how to capture green consumers, the six sins of greenwashing and how to avoid them, and how to gain ISO certification to demonstrate credible environmental management. This section also explores how to market your business as genuinely green and how to avoid problems with CSR reports through accuracy, accountability, and evidence-based claims. You will explore how to communicate with customers about reducing the environmental impact of your products or services, enabling them to participate in sustainability outcomes.

The program then turns to long-term environmental planning and adaptation. You will explore how your business should prepare for and adapt to future climate change impacts, why keeping up with advances in green technology is crucial, and the increasing importance of renewable energy in sustainable operations. This section introduces the types of renewable energy sources, how to generate your own power, and how to transition to green fuels. You will also explore how to achieve emissions targets, how to offset carbon emissions, and how to go carbon neutral as part of a long-term climate strategy.

The final learning area focuses on innovation and competitive positioning. You will explore how to spot new opportunities arising from sustainability trends—allowing your business to innovate, lead the market, and stay ahead of competitors as environmental expectations shift and new technologies emerge.

By the end of this course you will be able to design a comprehensive green business strategy, measure and reduce your environmental impact, communicate sustainability efforts credibly, integrate renewable energy, achieve emissions goals, avoid greenwashing, prepare for climate change, and identify emerging opportunities that strengthen both environmental performance and competitive advantage.

Science Fiction at its best.
Format: Hardcover
A hard sci-fi take on our hero. Still much to uncover in later volumes, but I am ready for the ride.

Take all the pieces of the puzzle that is the Flash legacy, shake them up and put them all together into a completely different picture. That gives you some idea of what is going on in this book. Not always successful but always very interesting.

Good start
Format: Kindle
It's not a bad start. Fraction has always been hit and miss with me, but this series looks promising so far. I liked Bruce trying to connect with Croc instead of fighting him. I don't like the blue and gray suit; never have, but I do like the upgrades. I don't care for Jimenez's art and was hoping for a different artist. Overall, it's interesting enough to check out. It would be nice to get more pages of story for $4.99,though. I will be back next month to see where the story goes.
