A gorgeous pincushion bursting yellows in all directions. One can definitely feel my leanings to abstraction seeping into this painting. I tried not to overthink the process and exuberant movement of this perky yellow pincushion.

My process began with very bright colour washes and an abandonment of mark-making with a variety of water-soluble mixed media, then I developed it further with oils, budling up the layers and texture with sweeps of the palette knife and gestural marks from oil sticks.

My dog hates the way this thing smells. She tries to play with it, but the scent is too strong for her nose. I know it's the scent because she usually sniffs it two or three times in between trying to grab it with her mouth. She treats it like an explosive in her mouth and quickly moves away after spitting it out. She used to have a bone that looked similar to this (same material) that was unscented and she gnawed the hell out of it. My sister's pitbull spent the night and chewed that toy into bits, leaving my Yorkie mourning the loss of her once treasured bone. Please make an UNSCENTED version of this toy!!!!

She loves to chew this thing, chase this thing, sleep with this thing. I most certainly recommend this ball. If it is I'ah proof then it is most certainly, 100% a durable ball and worth every penny
