Push your limits and dive into the world of freediving with Blue Water Hunter’s exclusive two-day course. This program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and training to safely and confidently dive to depths of 60 feet or more. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this course offers an engaging, hands-on learning experience with an emphasis on safety and performance.
What you’ll learn:
- Breath-Holding Safety Procedures
- Equalization for Depth Diving
- Freediving & Snorkeling Equipment
- Physics & Physiology of Freediving
- Safety & Problem Management
- Freediving Technique Development
- Breathing & Breath-Hold Techniques
Cost: $595 + $250 for a boat trip to Anacapa Island (open water session).
Course Duration:
2 Days: Saturday & Sunday (6 hours per day)
Day 1:
Academic: Begin with an online learning course (to be completed at your own pace before class), followed by an in-depth lecture on freedive physics, underwater physiology, and the technical skills required.
Pool Session: In a controlled pool environment, you’ll practice essential skills such as buddy procedures, static apnea, and movement techniques (duck diving, fin kick technique).
Day 2:
Ocean Session: Put everything into practice with an open ocean training session at Anacapa Island. You’ll dive to depth using a freedive float and line, working in rotation with others to refine your technique and equalization under the guidance of your instructor.
