Disaster was narrowly avoided thanks to the brave residents—now honoured as the Fireroad community—who battled the blaze with buckets and handheld hoses until a lucky wind shift came to their aid. Today, the Fireroad vineyards thrive in that same hot, dry climate, producing a Pinot Noir that opens with bright red fruits, subtle spice, raspberry and a hint of chocolate.
Crafted from carefully selected subregional sites and made with cold-soaking, hand plunging and French oak maturation, it’s beautifully balanced at 13.5% alcohol.
