With acts like Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, Keel, Bonfire, Baton Rouge, Doro, Babylon A.D. and a host of others calling on his songwriting and production skills, he has been in heavy demand for the better part of the last 30 years. Starting out as guitarist in New Jersey act the Rest - alongside a young Jon Bon Jovi - When Midnight Comes was his major label debut with his new band Surgin'. Jon Bon Jovi was long gone to his own, soon to be mega band but he found time to help out on backing vocals on the album. Curiously, a version of 'Shot Through the Heart' also appears on the debut Bon Jovi album... WHEN MIDNIGHT COMES is a lost AOR gem from the '80s and it's easy to imagine what might have happened if Surgin' could have held it all together for a second album, but alas that was not to be. This is just about all there is, so enjoy it for what it is - a cracking slab of '80s melodic Hard Rock.
