The Kingspan Watchman Sonic tank gauge is a very handy device consisting of a transmitter that attaches to the oil tank lid and a receiver that you plug into a 3pin domestic socket in the house. This device allows you to monitor the level of oil in the tank on an easy to read LCD display screen. The screen shows 10 bars when the tank is full and as the oil level in the tank drops so do the bars visible on the screen. When the oil level drops below 10% capacity a symbol appears indicating it is time to order more oil.

The information is relayed wirelessly to the receiver unit and there is no internet connection required. It works within a 200m range and has a long-life lithium battery in the transmitter. Most modern oil tanks are pre-drilled to facilitate a gauge but some require the oil tank to be drilled for installation of the gauge. This oil gauge works perfectly for people with limited mobility that may not be physically able to reach the top of a tank with a dipstick. It suits anyone that wants to view the level of oil in their tank without having to leave the comfort of home. You need never run out of oil again!
