New Vinyl Record - Foster, Jeffrey Dean - I'm Starting To Bleed

RSD 2021

When Jeffrey Dean Foster watched the Black Lives Matter protests following George Floyd’s murder last summer, he wanted to address the cruelty that prompted them. The result was “I’m Starting to Bleed,” a pastiche of late-period Bowie and “Cruisin’”-era Smokey Robinson infused with a creeping sense of dread. The remixed, reimagined “I’m Starting to Bleed (Pastoral)” strips the song back to its studs, trading the original instrumentation for guitars orchestrated by 1970s Film Stock. “When Was the Last Time” was recorded as a bare-bones acoustic performance at The Ramkat in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Don Dixon suggested making a record out of it, noting that Johnny Cash magicked some of his TV appearances into album tracks. Dixon and Foster’s additions of drums, bass, electric guitar and strings, Beth McKee’s Wurlitzer, and Marti Jones’ pristine backing vocals turned it into a panoramic pop song. “Tell Somebody” is a wall of sound full of sonic nods to The Who, Big Star, and Teenage Fanclub at their Bandwagonesque best. “Headin’ Home” is a tossed-off ode to pandemic isolation, like the Flamin’ Groovies reluctantly following a stay-at-home-order. Dixon and Mitch Easter pulled the mixes together, while Dave McNair (Bowie, Dylan, Patti Smith) mastered the record. The I’m Starting to Bleed EP probably couldn’t have been made outside of the disorienting cauldron of the past year. Foster is currently working on his next full-length album.
Proceeds from this release, and three others in this series support The Shalom Project (an organization that supports NC families in need).
This is a regional release and though it’s available to all RSD-participating stores, it will primarily be available at stores in North Carolina.

Un mess your kitchen sink mess
Color: Black - 9.25″
Just the exact right thing to gather all the sink doodads into one place. There is a little divider that is movable so you can adjust the sponge holder to your brand of sponge. AND it has a drain spout for the water run off. Very sturdy and handy sink catch all.

Great for organizing sink
Color: White - 9.25″
We had one of those suction cup sponge holders, but if you have tile that is not completely smooth, it falls down. This does not have that issue because it just sits on the counter or if you have a large sink lip, on there. You can move the inside pieces around which I was really surprised about because I thought it was all in one piece. Being able to move them around is great because then you can adjust it for your own soap dispensers, etc to fit your space. I like that it comes in a ton of colors. We got the white and it blends into our kitchen and looks really nice. This organizes our dish soap, sink drain cover, and sponges nicely and gives it all a space to go in. The tray on the bottom is silicon and removable which is great. I wish I had bought this thing years ago because it's great.

Great deal. Great product. Simple and efficient.
Color: Black - 9.25″
It is very simple to put together and it feels sturdy and I like how it looks. I know everyone's sink is different but it fits mine PERFECT. I'm really happy with this purchase. Good price good value. I don't see why you wouldn't buy it if this is the style you were looking for.

Handy little caddy
Color: Suction cup-Black
I am really pleased with this sink sponge caddy. So far the suction cups are holding up just fine. The caddy fits my sponge, dish rag, soap wand and scrub brush perfectly keeping the clutter off the sink ledge and tucked nicely in side the sink . For as small as it appears, it holds all my sink tools and looks nice doing so.

Cool Caddy
Color: Hanging-silver
This is a cool little caddy, but it must have enough space around it, otherwise, it could easily get knocked off it's mounting bracket. The caddy body itself sits smoothly into two small arms that hold it up; however, it's not a snap on tight design, so if you knock it, it will easily dismantle into the sink. We have two small sinks, it works good for it, but must have it's own little space where there isn't too much movement around it. Jus saying, and the quality is good.
