Many of the narrations in this book are astonishing, even shocking. They force us to extend our imaginations, to try to fathom the immense honor in which the Companions رضي الله عنهم and the Salaf held Allah's Messenger ﷺ and everything associated with him. Despite the fact that they feel unattainable, almost otherworldly, these stories are vital for us, because they give us a glimpse of how the best generations رضي الله عنهم honored the Best of Creation ﷺ.
