July 2022 marked the 50th anniversary of the release of T. Rex’s most celebrated album, “The Slider”. Produced by Tony Visconti, “The Slider” remains the definitive soundtrack to Bolanmania, containing two Number 1 singles, ‘Telegram Sam’, and ‘Metal Guru’, perhaps the epitome of glam rock flamboyance.

In this special 2CD set, CD1 features the original album, accompanied by three non-album b-sides. CD2 contains “The Alternate Slider: Rabbit Fighter”, a bonus disc of fascinating ‘work-in-progress’ versions and demos, which (as far as possible) mirrors the original album’s running order.

The CDs are presented in a brand-new seven-inch deluxe gatefold packaging, with an 8-page booklet, including the lyrics, plus annotation by acknowledged Bolan authority Mark Paytress, author of the definitive Bolan biography, and 2022’s “Glam!: When Superstars Rocked the World, 1970–74”.

Camouflages well with the skin and sticks long enough
I was excited to try these Halo Dot patches because I was having some breakouts before a wedding I had to attend. I put these on three nights before the wedding only at nights and left them on until the morning. I washed my face the 1st night, yet the second night I did not and it still attached (mind that I have a very oily face by the end of the day). With every application I saw good results as the breakouts were being reduced with each use. It is easy to put on and to carry out if you need to travel because it comes in two separate little envelope like package that you can put in a backpack/purse. These are thin and are almost not visible.

Easy to Use and Surprisingly Effective
Even though I am well past the age when I thought breakouts would stop happening, I still get the occasional pimple. As luck would have it, I felt one starting to pop up on my cheek the day after these Halo Dot Pimple Patches arrived. Before bed, after washing and thoroughly drying my face, I applied one of the patches. It peeled easily from the backing sheet, and when I realized I had not placed it quite right, I was pleasantly surprised that I could lift and reposition it without any trouble. What really impressed me was how well it blended into my skin. I was only wearing it overnight, but honestly, I do not think anyone would have noticed it unless they were looking very closely. In fact, I forgot I even had it on until I looked in the mirror the next morning. The patch peeled off easily and had clearly pulled some of the buildup from the blemish overnight. There was no redness or irritation afterward, and the spot looked dramatically improved by morning. The only downside for me is the price, especially since the package contains just 33 patches. That said, if they continue to work this well, I would definitely consider purchasing them again.

These acne patches came in really handy when I had a random breakout near my lip, especially since that’s an area where I tend to wear a lot of makeup. They helped gently draw out impurities without being harsh on my skin. I also like that they blend in well on the skin. They’re not tinted, but they still work nicely across different skin tones like advertised, which makes them less noticeable while wearing them. You get a good amount in the package as well—33 patches total, with 18 patches on each sheet. Overall, they’re convenient to have on hand for unexpected breakouts, and I would definitely recommend them.
