FAQs
I mainly embroider t-shirt logos. Which frame size is the most appropriate for me?
For left-chest or small logo embroidery, the 4″ × 4″ (100 × 100 mm) or 5″ × 5″ (130 × 130 mm) MaggieFrame magnetic hoops are ideal, offering perfect space control without fabric distortion. For full-front or larger t-shirt artwork, consider the 10″ × 10″ (260 × 260 mm) frame. Both options maintain excellent tension on Futurize embroidery machines.
How does this magnetic frame compare to some of the hoopless embroidery systems?
While hoopless embroidery setups work well for unique items like shoes or structured bags, the MaggieFrame magnetic hoop is much more versatile. It combines the strength of a traditional embroidery hoop with the convenience of magnets, ensuring stability for standard fabrics such as shirts, jackets, denim, and towels on Futurize industrial embroidery machines.
Help! My needle hit the edge of the frame (a needle strike). Why did this happen and how can I prevent it?
Needle strikes generally occur when the hoop size selected in your machine is larger than the actual embroidery field, or the design limits were digitized too wide. Always choose the correct or slightly smaller embroidery hoop size in your Futurize machine settings and perform a tracing test before starting to avoid frame contact and maintain proper alignment.
If I hoop the fabric crooked by mistake, is it easy to reposition? Will it damage the fabric?
