Each pair donates to a different charity and comes with a label that gives a little more detail on the back. Some socks are ankle length and some are calf length. If you can't tell in the photo and it's important to you - just email or ring us, and we can check for you.
Conscious Step was founded in Australia by social entrepreneurs Hassan Ahmad, Prashant Mehta and Adam Long and is now based in New York. The three came together in 2014 to create a company that raises consumer awareness of the problems faced by the world today and the organisations fighting them. They settled on socks as a way that would be convenient, tangible, recognisable and, of course, fun.

The creators of Conscious step say on their 28 July Blog " For the past year, we've been hard at work upgrading the ingredients of our socks. We're proud to share we've replaced the polyamide in our socks with recycled polyester!
Not only does recycled polyester have a smaller carbon footprint than polyamide, it also reclaims plastic waste, keeping it from becoming trash. It helps us reduce our dependence on raw materials and take steps to restore our planet. A win, win for all.
