Does Hi-Fi Molasses Free contain added vitamins and minerals?
No. It should be fed alongside a fortified feed, balancer or broad-spectrum supplement.
What’s the difference between Hi-Fi Molasses Free and Hi-Fi Lite?
Both are low energy, high fibre and suitable for good-doers/laminitics. Molasses Free is a blend of chopped & pelleted alfalfa/straw with rapeseed oil + mint & fenugreek for palatability. Hi-Fi Lite is simply chopped alfalfa & straw with a light molasses coating (no pellets), giving more chew time per scoop and suitable as a total/partial forage replacer for those with poor dentition. Molasses Free can be a partial replacer only, due to higher oil content.
Why is Molasses Free lower in sugar than Hi-Fi Lite but higher in calories?
Molasses Free uses a light oil coating (not molasses), which keeps sugar very low yet slightly increases energy (calories) versus Hi-Fi Lite.
