Lurssen Mastering EQ faithfully emulates the renowned stereo tube EQ, a classic studio tool cherished in mastering circles for its warm, musical character and unique tonal coloration. It has become a benchmark for analog equalization.

Initially custom-developed for mastering legends Gavin Lurssen and Reuben Cohen, who have long relied on this sonic approach, the plug-in offers smooth, nuanced curves that deliver a stunning high and low end, enabling subtle yet powerful tonal enhancements. It works as a single plug-in or inside the T-RackS 6 plug-in shell.

Thanks to the detailed emulation of the preamp section, a unique “Color” control offers precise adjustment of harmonic saturation. This allows you to fine-tune the unit’s character for a cleaner sound or one enriched with harmonics.

Lurssen Mastering EQ boasts a streamlined interface that integrates independent stereo controls with enhanced functionality. The plug-in replicates the original’s left/right EQ controls while introducing output controls, parameter linking, adjustable preamp input levels, and Mid/Side processing. Shelving filters offer intuitive manipulation of both high- and low-frequency ranges, and 3 tuned semi-parametric filters enable precise sound shaping.

Lurssen Mastering Console is a totally new approach to digital audio mastering. It provides a complete emulation of the entire mastering processing chain used by world-renowned mastering engineers Gavin Lurssen and Reuben Cohen and their team. This chain includes tube equalizers, solid state equalizers, limiters, de-essers and solid state compressors. The simulation of this chain reflects their “whole chain philosophy”.

Lurssen Mastering Console models and recreates the interactions between the individual processors in its chain down to the actual gear hookup schematics themselves. This approach effectively gives you access to decades worth of knowledge in the form of workflow secrets, special techniques, signal chains and technical know-how.

It’s easy to get great results with Lurssen Mastering Console. It comes with 40 unique mastering templates, called “Styles,” that custom tailor its mastering processing chain for hip-hop, hard rock, heavy metal, country, Americana and more. These templates eliminate all the hard work of the mastering process; Gavin and his team have set everything up for you from the signal flow to the individual settings of each processor.

Both plug-ins include a collection of presets and styles created and used by Lurssen Mastering.
