Shiitake is one of the most potent natural sources of umami flavor, and it has been used for millennia to add depth of flavor in Chinese and Japanese cuisine. It is a staple component in dashi, and ramen just isn’t the same without it. 

Pick up locations include the San Francisco Ferry Building or Santa Cruz retail store, and any of our weekly farmer's markets throughout the Bay Area. 

Due to the perishable nature of this product, cancellations must be placed 24 hours in advance of your scheduled pickup date. All no-call-no-show orders will be donated to the community at the end of the business day.

Return Logistics: Amazon offered a return, but the box is heavy, and disassembly/repackaging would be a major task. Final Verdict I really like this product, but I’m deducting two stars for a total lack of customer service. I’ve decided to buy tools and fix it myself rather than deal with a heavy return. I hope the seller sees this and reaches out. The lesson learned is to check every part of a product before assembly.
