Early pillars type minted between 1542 to 1555 at Mexico City (mint mark: Mo, Assayer: L). Certified by PCGS to AU 53, Well struck, good centering and complete and readable legends. Original luster, very attractive in hand. Obverse: HISPANIARVM ET INDIARVM, pillars with PLV SVL TR, 4 below. Reverse: CAROLVS ET IOHANNA REGES, arms of Spain, flanked by Mint Mark (Mo) & Assayer initial (L).
