How to install Cisco UCS B200 M5 Blade Server

Installing the Cisco UCS B200 M5 Blade Server begins with selecting a compatible Cisco UCS chassis and ensuring the fabric interconnects are configured to your data-center standards. Verify power and network readiness, confirm firmware baselines, and gather the service profiles you will apply to the blade through Cisco UCS Manager. Insert the blade into an appropriate slot in the chassis, ensuring proper seating of the blade and secure latching. Connect the blade’s I/O mezzanines and any required PCIe expansion cards according to your workload needs, then power on the unit and verify post-boot status through Cisco UCS Manager. Create or attach a service profile that defines the blade’s identity, network connectivity, storage mappings, and boot order. Once the service profile is bound, you can install or migrate your operating system using your preferred hypervisor or OS image, and apply firmware updates to ensure alignment with your ecosystem. Regular monitoring and policy-driven automation will help maintain performance, reliability, and compliance across your blade fleet.

For a smooth startup, plan a baseline configuration: define the number of active cores, memory allocation per virtual machine or workload, network uplinks to fabric interconnects, and storage policies. Use Cisco’s best practices for firmware levels and driver compatibility to minimize downtime during deployment. If you’re upgrading from older hardware, leverage the UCS Manager to migrate service profiles with minimal disruption, enabling rapid rollout of new blades while preserving existing network and storage mappings. Finally, document the deployment for your operations team, including service-level objectives, maintenance windows, and escalation procedures to ensure sustained performance and uptime.

Do it yourself
Size: 38"Height × 14" Wide
I purchased a similar set to custom make a dining room table out of butcher block, and it turned out perfect. So with the left over butcher block I purchased these legs and made the perfect kitchen island to match. It is very sturdy and a great price. Everyone wants to know where I purchased it from. I also put a piece of the butcher block across the lower bars and made a lower shelf. Love love love this.

Plan your project right & these will look great!
Size: 38"Height × 14" Wide
These are great legs for a table. They are sturdy and go together nicely. The painted finish is well done, meaning it doesn't scratch or peel or come off easily. Also the way things were packaged was considerate of the weight and possibility of damage during shipment. There were even extra attachment screws included which was helpful since I lost one under the dishwasher. When considering what legs to purchase for your particular table, the height, dimensions, and weight of the top all need to be factored in. I used these bar height legs under a very heavy, 7' long X 2' wide top. Common physics dictates that there will be lateral movement between the 2 "H" shaped leg sets. There HAS to be support between the 2 H leg sets to prevent that lateral movement. So these alone will not support a long table very well, because physics. This is not in any way the fault of this product. Be aware that there is more to the stability equation and be prepared to add cross bracing to your project.

Counter height table legs are sturdy and it holds a great amount of weight. I was easy to adjust height for the table we needed to be repaired with legs. It was a great choice in repair of computer desk. I had a desk that tore apart because of the press board siding. Took the top of of siding and repaired with these legs. I am totally satisfied
