The twist style locking mechanisms ensure that the monopod is securely extended and the rubber grips make it comfortable to use even when the weather is terrible. The rubber tip on the 170 monopod gives a secure rest and it comes complete with a V resting adapter to help with a really long lens. It also a spike and carry case.
