The cherry blossom, which was introduced to Japan from the continent in ages past, blooms suddenly and all at once and has
become the most important flower for the Japanese people, heralding the arrival of spring.
The dye is extracted from cherry blossoms by boiling them, and then the thread is dyed a light pink before being used for the
weft. The warp threads are rope-dyed in a combination of natural and synthetic indigo which results in a thread that has the
gorgeous blue tint of natural indigo and yet fades like regular denim. These yarns are also blended with our own homegrown
organic cotton, resulting in fantastic texture and good moisture absorption characteristics.
The cut is a regular straight, but the leg width is slightly narrower than our standard S0510XXII, falling somewhere between the
S0510XXII and S710XX19ozII.
