It was both smart and simple; she could fold up the bottom to wear it like a regular hat, or pull it down to cover her face, leaving only an opening for her eyes. I always thought it was a brilliant design. This memory stayed with me, and I asked Danish designer Anne Grete to reimagine the concept. She took the dual functionality of the original balaclava—serving as both a hat and a face covering—and transformed it into a beautifully modern piece that elegantly frames the face while providing warmth. 

The AGD 02  balaclava is knit in the round from the bottom up, featuring a central face opening. The middle section is constructed with two layers using two circular needles, offering insulation where it's most needed. You can wear it folded up as a hat or down as a balaclava.
