It is medium gamet colour showing classic notes of its Tuscan origin.
The earthiness on the nose is accentuated with hints of sun dried tomato and dark cherry. The palate is rustic with well-pointed tannins and savoury finish. A perfect accompaniment with food.

The fruit for this wine was derived from cuttings of grandfather’s original family vineyard in Lonnano Tuscany. Fruit is entirely grown and hand-picked from The Gate single site vineyard.

The wine has been aged for twelve months in both new and seasoned large format barrels.

Matured for 10-12 months in large-format oak. A medium-bright cherry crimson red. Red fruits and subtle dried herbs give this both appeal and good varietal character. Gently juicy on the palate this finishes with fine savoury tannins.
