Until now these valves have been known to have issues sticking inside the bore in the valve body, or wearing out due to friction, which causes malfunction and improper shifts.Despite all of the changes made in the past to the material from which the valve is made, the bore itself in the valve will wear and prevent proper movement of the valve. Especially in the Dodge automatic transmission, Dodge manufactures the stock valve body from a very cheap mystery material that is very soft and prone to wearing out.
ATS has designed an innovative solution in their Dodge Ram transmissions using a unique 'Hydro-balanced Valve and Sleeve'. By altering both the shape and material of the valve itself, as well as placing a hardened sleeve in the valve body's bore the sticking issues are prevented. The valves in the ATS Valve Body perform extremely smooth and operate as intended after extended use. Utilizing this new design valve and sleeve assembly allows the hydraulic flow to be altered providing a more aggressive line pressure slope while providing quality shifts and torque converter clutch engagement. When using the stock TV valve or oversized TV valves increased line pressure caused hard and abrupt shifts.
The concept used by ATS is similar to that of a piston sleeve in an engine. By using high quality, hardened material, the lifespan of the moving component is greatly increased and the issue of a worn bore is eliminated. This technique further raises the functionality and quality level of the ATS Valve Body and Transmission system to an even higher level and is used in their Towing, Racing, and Stand-Alone-Programmable Valve Bodies.

Reliable, Comfortable, and Good-Looking Chair — I Keep Coming Back to It

This is my fourth time purchasing this Amazon Basics mid-back office chair, which says a lot about its overall value. It looks clean and modern, fits well in a home office, and is genuinely comfortable for daily use. I typically get about a year and a half out of each one, which feels reasonable given the price point and materials.
Out of the box, the chair is easy to assemble and immediately comfortable. The padding is supportive, the armrests are well positioned, and the faux leather gives it a more upscale appearance than many chairs in this category. It rolls smoothly, swivels easily, and works well for long computer sessions without causing back or shoulder fatigue.
That said, this is not a lifetime chair. After extended use, the cushioning and structure do begin to wear, and that’s usually when I replace it. Still, considering the comfort, appearance, and cost, it remains one of the best value office chairs I’ve found — which is why I keep buying it again.

• Durability is moderate; expect replacement after about 1½ years

Good Basic Chair with a Few Drawbacks

I bought this Amazon Basics office task chair for my boyfriend who works from home. Overall, it’s a decent, simple chair that gets the job done for everyday use, especially if you just need something functional and affordable.
However, there are a couple of downsides. The recline doesn’t go back as much as he would like, so it’s not ideal if you prefer to lean back and relax between tasks. Also, after about a month of use, the wheels don’t glide as smoothly as they did at first, which can be a bit frustrating when rolling across the floor.
Overall, it’s a solid basic chair for light use, but if you want something with a deeper recline or super smooth mobility long-term, you might want to consider other options. Still a reasonable purchase depending on your needs.

Had for just over 9 years now and still pretty solid

I ordered this chair back in December 2015 for our front office, and it's been moved to our back shop where we fabricate. We're not a gentle work space by any stretch of the imagination; we build stuff and it's messy, lots of tools etc. This chair has held up surprisingly well!
The faux leather is delaminating almost entirely on the seat but honestly, I'd expect that for faux leather on something that is used daily. The seat pad, in my opinion, has gotten de-poofed. So it's not plush anymore but still usable. I've asked the guy that's using it if they want an upgrade/update and they said they like it and don't want to change it out just yet. That's saying something!
The size is nice and wide. We've had a range of differently sized folks sit in the chair over the years and the seat was always comfortable (less now without so much seat poof), I was able to sit cross-legged and the whole chair felt sturdy then as it does now. All of the standards functions you'd want an office chair to do, it can still do: it goes up and down smoothly, it rolls just fine, it's still pivot-reclines comfortably and doesn't feel like it's going to topple. I like it!
