In Tiwanaku (formerly known as Pachamama), you guide your tribe through uncharted lands in search of fertile territories to cultivate. Inspired by the myth of Wiraqocha, who created the sun and the pre-Columbian tribes of the Andes, and Pachamama, the revered Earth Mother, your mission is to explore regions and design cultures that honor these deities. Respect for diversity and harmony with nature will earn you rewards, while failure to do so will incur their wrath.
The game features a variety of scenarios, each with a unique arrangement of terrain and crop tiles. Terrain tiles vary in size from 1 to 5 spaces, with the rule that regions of the same color must not touch, even diagonally. Crop tokens come in values of 1 to 5, each with distinct sizes and colors. A region of size 1 contains only value 1 crops, size 2 includes values 1 and 2, and only size 5 contains all values. Identical crop values cannot be adjacent, even diagonally.
On your turn, choose between an explore action or a divine action. After completing your action, you can exchange 1-5 offering cubes for 0-10 points, with a maximum of one offering per color.
The game ends when the last terrain tile is placed. Players then take turns performing a divine action or passing. If you choose to divine, you can gain points and an offering cube, or lose points and be forced to pass. The game continues in this manner until all players have passed.
