Our amber necklaces are handmade in Lithuania. The necklaces are designed to break for safety if too much pressure is applied. In addition, each bead is individually knotted, which prevents beads from coming loose if the necklace breaks, which your child could swallow.
What is amber?
Baltic amber is fossilized resin from coniferous trees in the Scandinavian region, approximately 44 million years old. At that time, there was a relatively mild climate, and the coniferous forest extended far into the Scandinavian area with trees up to 40 meters high. Amber, contrary to what the name suggests, is petrified resin and not a stone. Amber feels very pleasant on the skin; it is light and not cold.
Which size should I choose?
The length of the necklace remains a personal choice; it's a matter of taste. You can cut a string to the desired length and try it on to see which length you like. We advise against choosing too large a necklace for small children, as they might start to chew on it. Up to the age of three, you can easily choose the amber baby necklace with a length of 32 cm. Is your child older? Then choose the amber children's necklace of 38 cm.
Safety
General safety instruction: "Children under three years of age should not wear jewelry without adult supervision. Because it contains small parts." This also applies to wearing our amber necklaces.

Amber is a natural product; each bead is unique in shape, size, and color.
Therefore, no two bracelets are exactly alike, and the items may differ slightly from the photo shown.
Tip!
If you don't like the idea of a necklace on your child, then our bracelet, which can also be worn as an anklet, is a good idea! Wear the bracelet as an anklet with a sock over it, so your child can't easily fiddle with it.

Favorite childhood book

The Rainbow Fish was my absolute favorite book when I was little, so I had to get it for my kids too. The sparkly scales are still just as magical as I remembered and honestly make the whole book feel special.
The story is sweet, the illustrations are beautiful, and it’s one of those classic children’s books that actually sticks with you growing up. Reading it now feels really nostalgic for me, and my kids love looking at all the shiny pages. Such a cute book to have in your collection.
