Tommasi is een familiebedrijf pur sang. Momenteel is het de derde generatie die aan het roer staat bij dit Noord-Italiaanse bedrijf. Grootvader Giacomo Tommasi richtte het bedrijf op in het hart van de Valpolicella, in het centrum van Veneto. In totaal omvat het areaal maar liefst 205 hectare wijngaarden gelegen op de beste plekken van Italië. Ook ten zuiden van het Lago di Garda, in de regio Lombardije, heeft Tommasi mooie wijngaarden. Onze vinologen spelen eigenlijk vals. Want de Lugana wijn is een van de favorieten. Onze vinologen kun je ’s nachts altijd wakker maken voor een lekker glas Lugana. Zeker een riserva variant van het illustere Tommasi. Lugana werd ooit ontdekt door Ca dei Frati, maar inmiddels wordt de wijn geproduceerd door vele andere wijnhuizen. Het is de trebbiano druif die verantwoordelijk is voor het succes. De oogst geschiedt geheel handmatig. Zo ken men de volle trossen goed selecteren. Na een zachte persing en vinificatie rijp het sap in totaal 18 maanden. Hiervan wordt een kwart op eiken gerijpt. Hierdoor krijgt Tommasi Le Fornaci Lugana Riserva een heerlijke elegant karakter; stevig maar toch met behoudt van de nodige frisheid.Shipping Notes

Has fit perfectly into my morning espresso

This seems to me to be an excellent small kitchen scale. I am new to the complexities of espresso making and have begun using this scale every morning to measure my dose and output. It is working just fine. Easy to operate, keep clean and store. I did not give it 5 stars because I have limited comparisons but I don’t expect and will not bother looking for anything better.

Perfectly fits what I needed for my espresso habit!

This Maestri House mini coffee scale is a great little tool for espresso and pour-over. The size is compact enough to fit under a portafilter or cup, and the 0.1g accuracy makes dialing in coffee much easier. Maestro House Mini Coffee Scale
I have begun to drink tea, pu’erh tea to be specific. I have several varieties and I have had a problem with getting consistent results. The varieties can be very different in size depending on when the leaves are harvested (leaves harvested in spring are much smaller). So the easiest way to get consistent results is by weight. This scale is very easy to use with a ceramic tea scoop, set the tea scoop on the scale, zero it out and add tea leaves. This has made my results much better, without the wild swings in strength I had been getting before trying to eyeball even measures. This scale gives me accurate measurements to one tenth of a gram.

Mostly great, except one little annoyance

Pros- lightweight, small, very accurate, easy to clean, timer included.
Cons- I use this to brew espresso on my Breville Touch and to get an accurate reading, you have to place something flat (structured) under the scale. Otherwise the reading just jumps all over the place. I know lot of espresso machines have the same base, so this might be an issue for some!
This is my reason for 4/5 stars. It’s an easy fix, it’s just kind of annoying. Value for the price seems to be on point. It’s easy to clean. It has a timer as well as scale (nice for espresso). Buttons work the first time you push them.

A solid upgrade!

This coffee tamper has been such a nice upgrade to my espresso routine. It has a solid, balanced weight that makes tamping feel smooth and effortless, and the textured grip gives it a really comfortable, secure feel in hand. There’s something satisfying about how neatly it presses down the coffee grounds—like it was made to fit perfectly.
Since I started using it, my shots have been more consistent, with a beautiful crema and better flavor overall. If you’re looking for a tamper that’s simple, well-made, and does its job really well, this one’s definitely worth it.
