Het Bijbelboek Openbaring maakt gebruik van beeldtaal –
evenals trouwens de rest van de Bijbel. Als het in de Bijbel
over schapen gaat, zijn dit veelal geen echte schapen, maar
mensen. Dat is wel duidelijk. Met andere beelden hebben
we vaak meer moeite, omdat we ze niet (meer) begrijpen.
Openbaring refereert tot in detail aan profetieën uit het
Oude Testament. Alleen door die beelden erbij te halen kun
je Openbaring verklaren.
In De beelden van Openbaring wordt minutieus het verband
met het Oude Testament uitgezocht, zodat de profetische
woorden van de apostel Johannes beter te begrijpen zijn.
De auteur koppelt alle beelden van Openbaring aan de
geschiedenis van Israël tussen Jezus' eerste en tweede
komst, inclusief de Holocaust en de oprichting van de staat
Israël in 1948.
Bij deze interpretatie blijkt dat het seizoen waarin Jezus
terug zal komen is aangebroken en daarom zullen we ons
moeten voorbereiden op Zijn fysieke terugkomst.

I bought three of these turtle toys as Christmas gifts for various family member's dogs. Every single dog loves it! My dog has never been interested in any other treat toy I've given her. She's just not a foodie type dog. But, she's crazy about this one. She loves that it's floppy and the crinkly noise that it makes. The treats are surprisingly secure but she's happy to work at getting to them because the noise is rewarding during the process. While the edges of the treat pockets are starting to fray a bit, it doesn't affect the usability of the toy at all. I'm honestly shocked that my dog hasn't Shredded the entire toy with the amount of enthusiastic chewing she's given it. The only issue I have is that the opening to the shell is a bit small. It's kind of difficult to get the toy's long neck stuffed into the shell. But, I suppose if it was any bigger, it would be too easy for the dog to pull it out. So, overall, this dog toy is a huge winner!

Frustrating and Not Durable

My Foxhound /Beagle mix had this toy torn in several places within minutes. He loves his toys, but this one seemed to frustrate him and me. The small slits are too tight for anything but kibble. The large pouch is too deep for treats, and would send kibble flying as soon as he shook it. Anything larger would get stuck! The pouch tore at the seams as soon as my dog tried to pull out a Milkbone. Only small treats would fit in the slits, and he’d lose interest with them. The squeaker was useless due to the large size and hardness of the head. The weight and size of the head and the length of the toy might be a problem for smaller dogs. This toy was returned.
