Wat deze titel zo bijzonder maakt is dat wanneer je een ronde wint trofeeën (stickers) verzamelt. Heb je er genoeg, mag je een evelop open maken en komen er meer speelstukken bij. Zo zitten er in het spel al 13 enveloppen en blijft het leuk en uitdagend, ook omdat er meerdere extra doelen zijn om te halen!

Zombie Kidz Evolution is het eerste 'legacy'-achtige spel voor kinderen. 

Het spel begint met een aantal basisregels, maar door vaker te spelen komen er meer spelelementen bij. Kruip in de huid van een vriendengroep die samen de school verdedigen tegen een zombie-aanval. 

Wanneer je aan de beurt bent, rol je de dobbelsteen en plaats je in dat lokaal een zombie. Daarna mag je één stap lopen en in de ruimte waar je dan staat 1 of 2 zombies verslaan. Maar let op: liggen er 3 of meer zombies in een lokaal, dan mag je daar niet naar binnen! Sta je met z’n tweeën bij een schoolhek, dan mag je daar een slot op leggen. Sluit de 4 hekken af voordat alle zombies op het bord liggen én je er geen meer bij kunt plaatsen wanneer dat moet. Is het gelukt? Tof! Dan mag je een sticker op het progressiepad plakken. 

Heb je een missie voltooid? Dan mag je óók een trofeesticker plakken. Wanneer je een sticker over een getal moet plakken waar een envelop bijstaat, zoek dan die envelop op en maak ‘m open. In de envelop vind je een kleine uitbreiding op het spel. Dus hoe vaker je speelt, hoe meer uitbreidingen je ‘vrijspeelt’. 

Je mag er altijd voor kiezen om de uitbreidingen niet te gebruiken en een potje te spelen met de standaardregels. Handig voor wanneer je met vrienden speelt die het spel nog niet kennen, of wanneer je met jongere spelers speelt. Heb je alles vrijgespeeld? 

Dan kun je samen proberen om alle missies te voltooien! Is dat gelukt en zijn er geen stickers meer? Dan heb je nog steeds een leuk spel dat je samen kunt spelen, mét of zonder de extra’s.

Fun for a few minutes but beware!

I have 3 dogs so looking for multipacks of the same style toy is great so there is less squabbling between who gets what toy. I have a border collie puppy, a 4 yr old Irish wolfhound cross and a 17 yr old border collie. These toys were loved by each one of my dogs. The toys are floppy and easy to squeak in the octopus head. So much so that my elderly boy could happily play and make it squeak. He even collected the toys up and took them to his bed! My puppy ran off bounding through the house squeaking the octopus' head with the tentacle-legs flying everywhere as she ran around, so the entertainment value is pretty high! My Irish wolfhound loved the crinkling on the tentacles of the octopus and went straight for tearing into the orange toy pulling out the plastic, then pulling out the squeaker. The toy did ok with a game of tuggy (tug-o-war) with him and this toy would have been a great reward during a training session. The fabric is not very tough so this is not a toy for aggressive chewers. Legs were easily chewed off and unfortunately were ingested by one of my dogs which caused them to vomit repeatedly throughout the night. Same with the squeaker, they are thin, soft plastic. So if your dog is a voracious chewer, give these a miss. What I liked about these toys: 1. They were reasonably priced for 3 toys 2. These are not small toys! They are great for medium and large dogs. 3. Very fun for the dogs to play with. 4. No stuffing to clean up What I didn't like: 1. Toys are not durable for tough tuggers. 2. The toys are not reinforced for chewing. 3. Squeaker not strong enough. The toys just didn't last. There was maybe 15 minutes of play time at most before the chewing and destruction of the toys really got started. I might buy these again if I can give my puppy better supervision for her chewing these and trying to stop her from ingesting the pieces she is chewing off put I probably won't buy them again. There's too much plastic that can be eaten with the crinkly plastic in the legs.

This is not the toy for your dog is they like to rip them apart. That being, my sister’s dog loved these as his gift. I bought a set of these toys for my 30 lb black labs (mixed breed). They are normally very aggressive chewers, and as a result, these dogs are difficult to find toys for. They destroy pretty much everything except for those very strong rubber toys which are not as much fun for them to play with. So far, these toys have lasted us 2 days and counting which is quite an accomplishment considering their soft toys typically last about 10 min. or so before they start eating the stuffing and pull the squeakers out. Between the plastic noises from the tenticles and the squeakers my dogs have just been having the time of their lives. We have to confiscate them at bedtime so we can sleep! Even though I'm positive these toys will not hold up for much longer because of their chewing habits, it was worth the money to splurge on something fun for them to get so excited to play with. I intend to replace them occasionally as long as we continue getting at least a couple days of use out of them. If your dogs are less aggressive chewers then you should definitely give this toy a try!
